Liked: I recently stayed at the Wingate by Wyndham in Troy and had a fantastic experience. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay, from a cozy bed to a functional workspace and strong Wi-Fi.

Rude staff kicked my guest...

Liked: I wasn’t in hotel enough to really say, I travel constantly with work and stayed maybe a night total.
Disliked: There was a miscommunication that I handled according to everything on my end and as directed by Allen at the front desk yet the hotel still kicked my guest out on the street. I’ve reached out 3 times along with emails to the hotel and have yet been contacted by a manager. Amy, also at the front and Corey have been zero assistance and have actually made things worse. You need to remind your staff that clients or guest need to be treated with some respect, places like yours are a dime a dozen.

Liked: Rooms and especially the hallways need to be completely renovated. The carpeting was discusting.
Disliked: The hallways and the cigarette smoke!

Liked: I enjoyed the free breakfast.
Disliked: The pictures are not what the rooms actually look like. Our room was dirty. The beds are tiny. Just over all felt gross.

You get what you pay...

Liked: We stayed in a room with a jacuzzi tub, and that was nice.
Disliked: We couldn't get the TV to work. We got a welcome text, so I texted about the TV not working, but never got a response. The people above us were loud, and the marijuana smell from them drifted into our room. There was not an adequate amount of toilet paper (only the roll on the dispenser), so we ran out. The breakfast was okay, the only hot things being waffles and some frozen breakfast sandwiches that you could heat up in a microwave.

Could have been good but...

Liked: The man who checked us in was kind.
Disliked: We paid for a one night stay in the king room with the Jacuzzi tub.. we didn't get in until late as we went to a concert and I was so excited to just relax in the Jacuzzi and watch TV . Unfortunately I wasn't able to do either of those things as the room they put us in the Jacuzzi didn't work..and the TV would turn on but it said there was no service so we couldnt even watch the TV. Also one of the lamps was messed up next to the bed. We addressed the issues at checkout and they said that had we of told the front desk they could have fixed these issues..but because we didn't get in the room until after midnight I just marked it up as a loss and figured it wasn't worth the trouble.. the guy at front desk said that the Jacuzzi tub does work but you have to flip the red button in the bathroom to get it to work..but nobody mentioned that when we checked in and there was no note in the room stating that..and he said he didn't know what was wrong with the TV but assured me that they surely could have gotten it going for us.. I just feel like these are things that should be addressed prior to coming in the room..I shouldn't have to bother the front desk at 1 AM with these problems .the room should be checked before you have people stay in it
