Quality Inn & Suites Pearl-Jackson

Liked: Wonderful view of the pool; working A/C; running water; pillows; nice bed; no rodents; complimentary breakfast; bomb waffles.
Disliked: The elevator and hallways smelled like formaldehyde; walls are paper thin; could hear everyone's conversation in nearby rooms.

Liked: Very, very, nice and clean; beautiful room.

Will never stay again

Disliked: Beds were hard. Breakfast was mediocre at best. However, what made our stay so bad was the following: We reserved 2 rooms. The room they gave our son was OCCUPIED!!! Imagine the shock and awkward moment when he opens the door to find a man sitting on the couch...not fully clothed. Because why should you be when you're in the safety and security of your own room...or so you would think. So once we get that situation figured out, the next room they give him...get ready for this...HAS FLEAS!!! While I understand it's beyond their control and that they aren't a pet friendly hotel, you can't stop people from sneaking in pets. Regardless, by this time it's super late. We're super tired from driving all day with another long day ahead of us. The clerk at the front desk was rude about it and demanded that we "prove" the existence of fleas or he can't do anything about it. Okay, let me pull out my Harry Potter wand and summon the fleas in a blink of an eye. No problem!!

Liked: This was our second stay at this facility. I have a grandson in the NICU at UMMC. This location is clean and quiet. And in an easy location to get to and from. This is where we will stay every time!
