Plunge Beach Hotel, Fort Lauderdale

Liked: Excellent location steps from the beach. Loved the convenience of the onsite coffee/deli bar and CVS,Publix and restaurants right across the street. Great beach service (chairs/umbrellas/towels and bar service)+ pool and bar/restaurant.
Disliked: The rooms are okay but the ac was loud and hard to regulate. The carpet needed cleaning and our maid service was not consistent. Ask for a room with ocean view - makes a big difference. Need to add table to the balconies.

Liked: Large comfortable room and bed, cleaned daily, towels and loungers provided at beach though insufficient numbers. Coffee shop and staff were excellent, trying to make up for deficiencies elsewhere. Parking very convenient.
Disliked: Lots, no coffee and tea makng in the room, breakfast on first day was cold, not served positively, after first day went elsewhere thereafter, eg coffee and sandwich in coffee shop, but which closed at 17.00. Unexpectantly, beach is across the street, not enough pool loungers around pool.

Liked: I absolutely loved this place. Independently owned full service hotel gave it so much charm and great customer service. The location for someone looking for a slow beach pace was perfect. The private beach and pool are lovely with Publix and a whole strip of wonderful restaurants and shops only .5 mile walk up the road. The onsight restaurant was surprisingly really good, and we enjoyed most of our meals by the pool/beach. Truly hope to come back, this place was ideal for the way I like to vacation.

Cute hotel in Ft. Lauderdale

Liked: The room was comfortable and the hotel is pretty cute. We ate one meal at the restaurant by the pool and it was good. Had coffee at the coffee shop and were happy with what we received. The staff were pleasant. We had to leave a day early because of illness and the hotel refunded that night's stay. That was greatly appreciated!
Disliked: The hotel is need of some updating. We were glad to see they have some improvements planned, such as carpeting and lighting. While the hotel is listed as beachfront, the main building where we stayed is not actually on the beach. The walk to the beach is short but I felt it was a little misleading. They do have other buildings that are on the beach. In order to get beach chairs, etc., you must wear a wristband provided at check-in. These are not designed to be taken off and on, which is understandable, but the idea of wearing it to shower and sleep was not appealing. One of the biggest disappointments for us was that the winds were too strong for the beach umbrellas to be up. And they couldn't put them up at the pool either. My husband and I need the shade or we burn. I know the hotel can't control the wind but we could not find a shady place to relax and enjoy the beach.

Great place, enjoyed our stay....

Liked: Kind of off the beaten path, fairly quiet with mixed crowd of old, young, families. Although so rowdy folks but all in all, you could sleep at night without being disturbed too much.
Disliked: Oceanfront room should have a coffee maker. We brought our own but it would have been nice if we didn’t have to bring one.
