Unnecessary deposit will keep me...

Liked: The room was nice and spacious, and it came with not only a mini fridge but a microwave.
Disliked: These people charge a $50 deposit. What for, exactly? I stay at hotels fairly often and don't run into this. The issue isn't just the $50. They charge your card for the room and the deposit as one transaction, so $141.99. Then, the next day, you'll see another charge for $91.99 for the actual stay without the deposit. But the $141.99 still hasn't fallen off your pending transactions in your bank account. So, three days later, this one hotel night is not $91.99, but $233.98. It'll eventually come off, but this is unnecessary and annoying in the meantime.
