Nice hotel, great staff but...
Disliked: I’m curious why the architect of this hotel did not create a pedestrian thoroughfare connecting the hotel (second building) to the swimming pool and main lobby? Walking with little kids in swimming gear through a parking lot filled with pickup trucks is awkward and dangerous (not to mention bad planning). There’s more than enough room to accommodate pedestrians. Also, the walkability of the entire area of the hotel is abysmal. While the hotel is great, the car-oriented nature of Courtney is quite bad. Don’t attempt to walk to the grocery store across the street from the hotel!

Very nice hotel for a...
Liked: The room was large and the beds comfortable. Facilities like fridge and coffee machine very welcome. Bathroom very nicely fitted. Room temperature was also easy to control. Hot tub was great and the reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Disliked: I hadn't appreciated that there was no restaurant at the hotel. Not a huge issue but would have been good to have been able to purchase some breakfast goods in the hotel.

Reality didn’t match expectations
Liked: Large bathtub and gas fireplace.
Disliked: Noise. Traffic. Amenities split up in different buildings. Confusing check in. Expected more for price.

Very good
Disliked: The stroll from the Cedar building to the outdoor pool and back was quite problematic, and not only because of the low outside temperatures. Cedar rooms are simply of lesser value because their lack of direct access to the facilities, and I would find it prudent if the description of the various rooms would be specific about the building!
