Comfortable stay , nice staff...

Disliked: I think the interior is a bit dated but suits the building being more traditional

Liked: We didn't make use of the bar or the breakfast facilities which are rather limited. The breakfast menu was not to our taste. We did know this in advance of our stay.There are several excellent pubs and cafes nearby and we can recommend Tropea in Russell Square itself and The Swan in Cosmo place.The room was excellent. We had a street view but the heavy curtains prevented too much noise. Earplugs were provided if necessary.The bath towels were really big and robes and slippers were provided together with other useful items if you forgot anything for the bathroom.
Disliked: The facilities are limited but we were aware in advance and this did not detract from an otherwise very good hotel

Liked: The location of the hotel is simply wonderful. The staff were very polite, friendly, and always ready to help if I had any questions. The toiletries were of good quality, and there were disposable slippers, a bathrobe – everything was provided. The room had coffee, a nice view from the window, a comfortable bed, and a TV. Overall, it was very comfortable to stay there
Disliked: There were a couple of issues during our stay. The air conditioning wasn’t working properly, and since we arrived on particularly hot days, there were moments when it felt quite warm in the room. However, by the end of our stay, the AC was fixed. Another small problem was that a lamp short-circuited and the electricity went out in our room, but this was resolved rather quickly, so I don’t consider it a major issue. These are the only downsides we experienced

Liked: Central location. Decent value for room. Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious bathroom.
Disliked: Was a bit noisy on the weekend nights. Towel rail was too hot and could not change temperature. Milk for complimentary tea was not actually fresh...

Big rooms but staff can...

Liked: Great position and nice big room
Disliked: The check in was slow and the staff at the reception did not seem to know very well how to assign the rooms. Had to go back and forth multiple times. Also I believe they were understaffed for the housecleaning service as it was always happening very late.

Liked: A lovely room; very comfortable and clean. The location was perfect for exploring London.
Disliked: Some of the reception staff were not the most welcoming.

Good position but very sloppy...

Liked: The position was perfect and the room had a very comfortable bed
Disliked: The housekeeping was incredibly sloppy. In many occasions they did not leave the new towels, made the bed or clean the floors. They left pillows on the floor, did not clean the floor leaving paper on it. Also most of the time the room was cleaned very late. For a 4 stars hotel this is really not acceptable especially cause in this hotel there are no further amenities besides of a small reception.
