Disliked: Very bad costumer service at front desk, people getting in and out the hotel without any control. Old and smelly hotel. Near a horse stable, smells really bad. They ask for a credit card at check-in, a not identifed debit was made on my card days after my stay and I never used this card before. Hotel doesnt reply my messages about this debit, my bank only can tell me that the debit was made in NY city and its not easy to identify who made the debit. Had to report this to booking, had to cancel my credit card and report to local authorities. BE AWARE, DONT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD, the hotel will not reply anymore and help you, and booking.com will not be able to do anything.

Good place to stay for...

Liked: The main and biggest asset of this place is its location. For a very reasonable price you can stay in the heart of Manhattan. You can get on foot in only 15 minutes to Madison Square Garden, 20 minutes to Times Square and 25 minutes to Empire State Building. There's also a big communication hub nearby (train + metro) - the Pennsylvania Station, where you're most likely to end up when arriving from JFK. Hotel staff is very helpful, so if you need anything don't be afraid to ask them.
Disliked: Cleanliness of the hotel is something they can work on. Towels (although felt like they've been recently washed) had some big stains on them and we've found some hairs on our bedsheet (but sheets themselves also felt like washed). There was also a minor issue regarding unusual operating instructions for the shower, but the hotel staff came to help really quickly.

Not worth the money, not...

Liked: Location is fine. The street seems a little sketchy and you have to walk about 20 mins to use public transport
Disliked: During our stay they seemed to be dismantling the hotel as we were staying there. Every day there was more furniture and trash in the lobby and elevators. On our last day our room was the only room on our floor that had a door handle and all other rooms were stripped out. There was no notice of this/ warning about noise or just the general state of the hotel. See photo for an example of what the lobby looked like. The elevator was full of furniture and completely unusable at times. We were supposed to have wifi in our rooms (or all areas) and we only had this for one day. When I asked about it I was told that I wouldn’t get wifi in my room because the signal wouldn’t reach from the first floor. I said but i had it before, it’s just not working now and all I got in response was a shrug. The staff were completely disinterested in any problems we had. I needed to use the wifi to check in to my flight and had to stand in the lobby surrounded by furniture and debris, as they had moved out all lobby furniture, so there wasn’t even somewhere to sit while we waited on a taxi. You felt as though you were in the way the entire time spent in the lobby. Towels were dirty and had makeup and chunks of dirt on them. Toilet roll wasn’t refilled. Breakfast is listed as a benefit, but there was no breakfast provided. A piece of paper was stuck over the sign that said breakfast is available. The heaters provided in the rooms are not great and do not heat up the whole room. I cannot express enough how much I WOULD NOT recommend anyone stay here
