Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Carole, Belfast, visiting Ulster Hall Mon, 13 March 2023

Decided to eat in the hotel as the weather was bad. Only suitable food for vegan/vegetarians was a cold salad at £13 so ordered two with hot chips. When it arrived it was just a bowlful of cos lettuce and a small spoon of avocado, not even fresh! The waitress apologised profusely for a salad that any Chef should be ASHAMED to present in a well known respected hotel. When we asked for more variety in the salad and an egg it appeared with a dressing, a small amount of tomato and lots of raw onion. At the most what was given to us would cost less than £1 each. With hindsight, if the waitress hadn't been so apologetic and staff in the bar so kind and understanding I should have made an almighty fuss and demanded my £26 back. So my advice if you prefer not to eat meat or fish and want a hot meal, don't eat at Leonardo. Two extremely disappointed ladies, left feeling hungry, for an extremely good concert in the Ulster Hall.

Disliked: Expected a twin room not a bed settee.

Very poor

Disliked: Robotic staff, very unhelpful. No breakfast available, must of been due to staff shortages but I wasn't offered to be reimbursed. Then they had the cheek to ask me for £1.80 as my son made a call from the room to his mobile which was about 3 seconds long, yes this was not smart but due to the fact I barely ate anything at breakfast as they had a very and I mean very limited selection I should of been offered a refund as I did have to pay extra for breakfast. Also the £1.80 charge had to be paid by card as they don't take cash!!

Liked: Location, ability to check in early, friendly, comfortable bed, restaurant on site, and the best bathtub ever. They smartly had shampoo where you can reach it from the tub, helpful grab bars, so comfortable and you could reach the faucet for more of the wonderful hot water with your toes!

Lovely clean hotel. Great location

Liked: So close to the town centre so the location was spot on. Clean and comfortable.
Disliked: The noise from other guests. Not the hotels fault but I think we had a load of hen parties on our floor and there was noise all night with them coming and going which was annoying!
