Why Concert-goers love it

Location is everything—and Leo House delivers. You’re less than a 10-minute walk from major music venues near Penn Station and Chelsea Market. Just two minutes from the 23rd Street subway, it’s easy to head uptown for a show or get back late without hassle. Despite being in the center of the action, the hotel offers a surprisingly peaceful environment, perfect for post-concert wind-downs. While check-in is at 4PM, the 24-hour front desk makes late-night arrivals simple.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself stays low-key, you're in one of NYC’s liveliest neighborhoods. Bars, lounges, and live music spots are all within walking distance. Whether you're after a post-show cocktail or an afterparty, you won’t have to go far to keep the night going.

Areas for Improvement

It's probably the worst hotel...

Liked: Somewhat good location.
Disliked: Very primitive system that gets their guests to leave the room key at the reception. Blamed on fire management (to see who is in the building), and also, so that they got a visual on who was coming into the hotel. THERE IS NO MENTION OF THIS SYSTEM BEFORE BOOKING!!Because of this system, they gave me the WRONG KEY when I was checking in, meaning I walked into another guests room. This caused me a lot of stress about the security of my room and belongings during my stay. No WiFi on the 4th floor. This means the tv also doesn't work for 4th floor rooms. The safe battery cover was parcel tape and so questionable security of my valuables. Found cockroach in the bathroom on the first night, so very questionable cleanliness. The staff were miserable on arrival and then rude and dismissive when I complained to reception about my room and being given the wrong key.Management gave 10% off the stay for the WiFi issue, but nothing for the other issues. I was fed broken promises to move me to another room the two following mornings after my 1st night. I clearly argued enough on the second morning for them to move stuff around for me to get a new room. Even then, I had to come back at 4pm to check into the new room, meaning that my itinerary was disrupted and I had to miss out on visiting some areas of New York.WiFi also didn't work for 1 of my 3 remaining nights. This hotel experience really dampened what should have been an amazing holiday that cost a fortune and really caused me a lot of stress considering this was my first solo trip abroad.

If it’s good enough for...

Liked: Excellent location and unique seminary atmosphere. Mother Teresa once slept in room 409 back in 1960.
Disliked: Bed was on the small side but fine. WiFi wasn’t working.
