Disappointing, won't stay here again

Needs some TLC

Liked: The location was great. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and hospitable. The complimentary breakfast and parking were great and appreciated. The communication via text was a nice touch.
Disliked: The room was outdated, the carpet had a funky smell, and we woke up to water dripping from the ceiling. I was glad to see that they are remodeling, which is much needed, but they should inform guests upon booking or at least before their arrival. We've stayed here in the past, so we didn't think twice before booking, but we were very surprised to see how much TLC it needs now.

Low budget type hotel

Liked: Breakfast was ok. Location was good.
Disliked: Couch and recliner were stained and dirty, the shower curtain rod was installed upside down, this caused the curtain to open and a lot of water ended up on the floor. No coffee table in front of the couch... I've never stayed in a "suite" that did not have a coffee table, very cheap. Other furnishings were tired and worn.Housekeeping was only provided on request.Overall, it is a very low-budget type hotel.

Maybe wait until the renovation...

Liked: The front desk workers (aside from the one who seemed to leave her co-worker hanging) were wonderful and helping solve problems with a lot of patience and grace. The breakfast was decent, better than expected considering that this hotel reallllllllly needs it's renovation to be complete ASAP. The bed was comfortable and the towels were nice.
Disliked: This is a construction zone that lacks any comfortable place to be -- it's under renovation but the feeling is really sad. I was surprised that the price is so expensive for how lacking the hotel seems to be. Maybe the worst La Quinta I've ever stayed at. The viiew from my room was a construction dumpster and a pile of cardboard boxes that went up to the first floor. It was kind of wild to pay so much for so little.
