Kimpton Fitzroy London

Took a while to book in as there were two guests complaining about their stay which was not a good start. We were then welcomed by the desk clerk who proceeded to book us in, but when the phone rang, despite there being two other people behind the desk, he decided to answer the phone and so we had to wait several minutes before he finished the call and continued to serve us. On Saturday evening after returning from the theatre, we decided to call room service - we were phoning for several minutes but there was no answer! My sister then decided to go down to the reception herself to be told there was no room service on Saturday evening. This was not such a problem, but the only thing I take issue with is that the number for room service is the same number you would need to ring if you have any emergencies, so thank goodness we did not need a doctor! I think you need to look into that. The hotel itself was very nice - breakfast very good, service in restaurant very good.

Liked: Rooms very clean.
Disliked: No room service or anyone on the desk on Saturday evening; tea/coffee not topped up on second day.

Liked: very nice hotel, great breakfast, comfortable beds, good location (underground just around the corner)
Disliked: there was a bit of mildew smell in the shower; could use a few hangers on the wall to hang our coats

Liked: I've been lucky enough to stay in a lot of fantastic hotels in my time, and I can say without question that The Fitzroy is amongst the very best in the world! It's like stepping back in time to a different era (in a good way). Everything is immaculate and beautifully curated. The staff are fantastic, courteous, and attentive to every detail.What can I say? This place is pure class and luxury defined. And if, like me, you like your history, the walls of this establishment have many tales to tell!

Nice hotel but no fantastic

Liked: Excellent size room, very clean and superb location
Disliked: Breakfast was poor - warm not hot Buffett breakfast, was not offered the ‘From the Kitchen menu, only when we questioned it at the end and were then asked if we wanted anything - this was the fault of the Maitre’d who told us it was just the buffet and the waitress for not giving us a menu

A wonderful hotel, very well...

Liked: Excellent stay. Special mention to the attentive and kind staff who spoiled out son with nice Easter treats throughout our stay. The Studio Suite was large, stylishly-decorated and very cozy. Breakfast was superb, and we enjoyed the bar for some cocktails too.
Disliked: Nothing really.
