Aweful unfriendly rude and not...
Liked: Melvyns
Disliked: So … i arrived and drive a really valuable exclusive car and asked where i could park safe on premises and the valet boy at 4 pm friendly advised me to park across on some parking lot as the hotel doesnt offer private secured parking spaces for guests (years ago i always saw people parking along the stretch within the property) and the backstreet is messy … he also said robbery happens so i wasnt happy but went for dinner and when i checked on my car by 8pm the new valet boy was very rude and just said there is no solution and yes robbery is frequent and no sercurity offered for your car … he was sooo brutal and i asked if i couldnt park in the stretch but he was extremely rude and chased me away so i grabbed my bags and drove all the way back to LA . I was in shock for this … also the receptionist wasnt helpful nor willing to offer safe options … i will never return …they totally ruined my holiday and so i drove back home to LA

Disappointing stay! Too expensive also.
Liked: Palm Speings is a great destination
Disliked: The Ingleside gave us their worst room. It was room #12 right in the front by the check in area and restaurant. It was dark and small and $500 per night. Not good value at all. On the second morning the electrician/work person was fixing the lights on the trellis right in front of our room. This happened at 8am. We were sleeping as we were on vacation and got women to a n electric screwdriver making horrible noise. Oh well. We got up and took off, left the hotel to explore Palm Springs. We won’t be back.

History, charm, elegance and fun...
Liked: My sister and I flew over from Australia for my 50th birthday, my husband sent us over for the Cindy Lauper concert. I chose Ingleside Estate due to its rich history, character and charm. I had a drive through to check out the property with friends last year, whom have spent plenty of time at Malvern’s over the years and highly rate the property and also Malvern’s.We had one elder gentleman that was super helpful, friendly and happy to share all of his stories and the properties stories. However, the only downfall of the whole stay was there wasn’t enough information upon check in, in relation to the property and what it had to offer its guests. Like coffee in the mornings etcI will however stay at the property again, we loved Malvern’s, we frequented each night and felt very welcome and loved by all staff members x
Disliked: Only, that there could have been more information in regard to what the property has to offer the guests etc.

An absolute joy
Liked: I had dined at Melvyn’s restaurant on the property numerous times but never actually stayed at the Ingleside Estate until now. (Have stayed at the Ace, Horizon, Riviera and more in the past). What a great decision. The room was gorgeous and the pool area with the mountain backdrop is breathtaking. A free coffee station to get you going in the morning. Walking distance to the centre of town. Easy free parking for guests. It shares facilities with the Avalon (about 30 yards up the road) which is an added bonus (their Chi Chi restaurant has a great casual menu). Make sure you go to the Sunday afternoon jam sessions at Melvyn’s for fantastic entertainment.
