I would stay again if I visited Newport, RI.
Liked: Beautiful room with plenty of storage. Muffled noise really well. I never heard my neighbors coming and going. Also, the staff were all attentive and polite.
Disliked: I didn't like that I couldn't turn the fan down or off. My room was across from the roof top patio and the music was very loud. It felt like the music was right in my room.

Perfect location! A beautiful, thoroughly...
Liked: Lovely, comfortable lobby area. Beautiful, walkable neighborhood with a variety of restaurants and shops. Nice, modern interior decor...the headboards in the bedroom were strikingly stylish. Service and attention from the Concierge was outstanding! Even though the hotel was very busy during our stay, he treated us as though we were the most important guests of all. He is a gem! Car service for hotel guests to surrounding attractions (Mansions) was a plus...add more cars for greater availability.
Disliked: Air conditioning unit cycled on and off during the night and kept me awake. I should have set the fan to be ?On? all night, instead of intermittently. Also, I wish there were hand holds in the shower and a non-slip mat in the tub for safety.

Liked: breakfast was great. No problem and i liked the market.
Disliked: The quality of the room was not great. Felt like a motel with a nice dresser and head board.

Liked: Nice size room
Disliked: Beds are awful. No ice. Safe needed resetting and despite alerting did nothing. Some other maintenance needs reported and nothing done. Breakfast very expensive. If person had back issues because of beds should not stay in room we had. Both beds same condition

Liked: Service and main lobby were nice. Location was good too.
Disliked: Service was good but rooms were not comfortable or spacious. The air conditioning was very loud in our bedroom and did not make for an easy night?s sleep. The spa was also dated.

Would not stay again, disappointing.
Liked: Breakfast was poor, badly cooked and cold
Disliked: Check in was a little annoying, the room we had booked was no longer able to have an extra bed. They offered us an additional room at a discounted price. I was not going to pay for 2 rooms when they confirmed a month before 1 room would fit us all. We were then offered a blow up bed! we had to accept this but it never arrived, our 3 children aged 11-14 slept in 1 double bed, ridiculous for the price we were paying. To be fair after a long conversation they offered us free breakfast/dinner, however...when we went to bed, we discovered we had been given a room on the same level as the garden which had loud live music until 11am. The hotel should really think about what rooms they are providing to families and where they are located and also do not confirm a room can hold a family when it can't. It was too late for us to go elsewhere. We travelled the East Coast for 3 weeks and Viking was the only hotel that let us down, a shame.

Liked: Staff was very nice. Clarissa and Roy especially.Roy was a great help planning our days.
Disliked: The market closed too early. Internet was not good. Unable to use premium channels for most of our visit.The most upsetting thing was that I was unable to go to the Top of Newport. I asked the front desk if a reservation was required. I was told no...just walk on up after 4pm. We planned to have dinner, drinks and watch the sunset. We took the elevator up only to find a sign saying that they were closed for a private function. The front desk SHOULD know theses things. To me this is not the special experience we?ve been so looking forward to. We wound up going off site for dinner which should not be what the hotel wants.
