Did the job but wouldn't...

Disliked: Big clunky armchair in the middle of the room, had a stain on the arm. Breakfast options left much to be desired, no hot food eg baked beans, sausages, bacon etc.

Disliked: I was in the ground floor room and from 4.30am until when I got up at 7.30am the door bell was being rung several times and there was the sound of lots of talking from staff. This was disruptive.

Good value for the location.

Liked: Chose this for the location close to Birkbeck, and best price in the area on the date I needed. Grateful for a ground floor room, as I have an injury and can't carry luggage upstairs (there is no lift). Decent size room and comfortable bed. Staff member on reception was very friendly.
Disliked: Messaging before arrival is all by chatbot - lots of repeated messages, and the request for a ground floor room was replied to with an impersonal 'ground floor rooms are subject to availability' rather than 'let's see what we can do for you, and we can help you with your luggage.' Downside of my ground floor room was noise outside in the hallway. Garden outside the window could be a plus, but needs clearing. Staff absent at breakfast. Could do with a chair in the room, coat hook, and a shelf in the shower.
