Very good

Liked: Fast and friendly check-in. Cosy but clean and modern room (including bathroom). Breakfast was fast and decent.
Disliked: The shower could have had a bit more power, but it's an ancient building, so good luck getting high pressure plumbing into that.

Generally, for a short stay...

Liked: Generally it was a good stay. Very friendly and helpful staff - Sam is at the reception is really kind, gentle and quite helpful. The breakfast was ok and the lady in charge was not only kind but very punctual and really did a nice job to ensure that at 7 am everything was ready. The room was clean. The surrounding location is quite nice and the Piccadilly, Metropolitan, and Elizabeth lines are a walking distance away. Lack of a table where one could do some work. The one available is quite micro and is occupied by the stuff like tea etc.
Disliked: The most challenging event was about setting the flow of hot water in the bathroom. It was either too hot or cold, one has to be careful and above all, patient. The shower itself was the basic fixed uncontrolled type high on the ceiling i.e. not hand held. The fixed showerhead sprinkled water in all directions and some of the nozzles were clogged therefore one has to be very patient.

Overall our stay was pleasant...

Liked: Continental breakfast was good
Disliked: 72 steps with luggage was tiring with no staff helping. I had to make 3 trips to carry it all to the 3rd floor

I will never stay here...

Liked: Resident staff member on duty, Tamil, was great when I checked in and superb when I needed assistance. A very good man. Recommend he be hired by a another hotel that values guests.
Disliked: Cabin-class room was too tiny for any business traveler. No place to work comfortably. Closet too small. Terrible value for the money.
