Liked: Good location near the high street in reading centre check in was smooth Large suite room spacious clean Beautiful restaurant bar down stairs with lovely decor highly recommend

Noise prevents sleep before midnight.

Disliked: The noise in the bar is far too loud for someone on the first floor to sleep. There was loud drum and bass music which was blaring through from the ground floor and it made sleep totally impossible until it stopped at around midnight. Not worth the money for that reason alone as it felt very uncomfortable. Also the bathroom was rather shabby with lime scale in the toilets, taps in disrepair and a half used shower gel bottle to wash with. The other fixtures and fittings also looked rather dated.

Liked: Room was a little small initially and could not see the TV.I was moved to a much better room.Staff were very kind and helpful
Disliked: No lift but luckily was on the first floor.I probably would have had difficulty with my case if I had had been on the floor above

The worst state I have...

Liked: Checkout was quick and easy
Disliked: My room had simply not been cleaned and I was so disgusted I decided I couldn't trust the hotel that would present a room in such a state, to find me an alternative. So I checked out without staying the night and checked in to another hotel. Everything else in this hotel is of course of a very low standard but that is commensurate with the price and would have been tolerable if the room had been clean.
