Liked: Dear Horseshoe Lake Charles Management,I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding the experience I had at your hotel on August 19 2025 After a long and exhausting five-hour drive, I arrived at Horseshoe Lake Charles expecting a smooth check-in and the premium room with a lake or river view that I had reserved in advance. Unfortunately, when I arrived at 7:00 PM well past the standard check-in time that the room was still not ready due to it being unclean.Rather than offering any kind of alternative, apology, or compensation, Manager Cristopher was dismissive and unhelpful. His attitude lacked professionalism and courtesy, and it left me feeling completely unwelcome. Due to this poor treatment and the unavailability of the room I reserved, I decided to leave without staying at the hotel.To make matters worse, despite not staying at all, I was still charged for the room. Instead of properly canceling my reservation given the circumstances, your team checked me in and out on paper, as if I had completed a stay. This is completely unacceptable and adds insult to an already frustrating experience.I respectfully request a full refund for the stay, as I did not use the room or receive the service I paid for. Additionally, I urge you to review this incident carefully and provide proper training to staff especially Cristopher on handling guest concerns with professionalism and care.I had high expectations when choosing Horseshoe Lake Charles, but this experience has left me extremely disappointed. I hope this issue will be resolved promptly.

An overall pleasant expericence

Liked: I picked this place to stay because of the casino, free daily spin and the restaurant Steak. I enjoyed the big, spacious pool. Our room was quiet, roomy and the view of the river was great. I found the bathroom a perfect size and layout for the 4 of us traveling.
Disliked: I didn't win a retirement payout with my $20.00. I was disappointed with the flavor of my food at Steak (I'll need to speak to Sir Ramsey at some point).
