Holiday Inn London Camden Lock

Good hotel; good location; great staff and friendly welcome, but everything good was completely overshadowed by only being able to get wifi in your room if you pay £12. The room cost enough as it is, and paying for something that you get for free pretty much everywhere else in Camden is frankly greedy.

Disliked: Charging a fortune for wifi. Really? These days?

Liked: The room was comfortable and clean with an interesting view from the window. The check in staff were polite and very helpful and we were able to check in early. Thank you for that.The location is very lively and good fun and the room was well soundproofed for those who would not wish to indulge in such fun late at night.The breakfast was very good and we were attended by very solicitous staff.
Disliked: The shower in room 120 worked on our arrival on Tuesday evening but alas, was completely cold on Wednesday morning and both my husband and I had to have a freezing shower which was not a good start to the day. Considering that there was potential for this to happen, I feel that the amount that we paid, even in London, was a bit topside. I would say, though, that the manager was very understanding and suggested that a shower repair could be umdertaken, however we were already packed and ready to leave so would not be inclined to take advantage of the repair.Please be assured that we were much more impressed by the hotel than not. This was an isolated incident.

Good location and lovely staff

Liked: Good location, close to Camden locks and market not too far to tube station. Only a short walk from Euston station. Rooms comfortable. Staff very friendly and welcoming, every member of staff we came into contact with, reception, cleaners, breakfast servers were really helpful and polite.
Disliked: Nothing

Superb

Liked: Excellent location overlooking Camden Lock, right in the heart of things and under 10 mins walk from Camden tube station. Hotel was spotlessly clean, fresh and modern looking. The staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was lovely, with a good selection of items.
Disliked: Had trouble sleeping, the bed was quite hard and the pillows too soft but this may not be a problem for anyone else, could be down to personal comfort.
