Holiday Inn Express - Lake Park

Unacceptable

Liked: It was closed when I arrived. My room was never cancelled and I was never warned. I am still waiting for a response and refund 5 days later.
Disliked: It was closed with no warning despite my booking and prepayment. My refund is still outstanding and so is my apology. Plus I am now out of pocket.

Bad

Liked: We were not able to stay there. We traveled 4 hours pulled up and a note on the door said Sorry we are closed. I never received a message thru my booking app that this hotel was closed. I had booked 2 rooms. Then had to try and find another hotel. I finally found one. It was a nightmare. I am very upset about this.
Disliked: We traveled 4 hours and when we pulled up the parking lot was empty and a note on door said sorry we are closed.

Liked: The staff were very nice in the hotel was very clean
Disliked: I did not like once I got there they said it was no generator the only thing that was bad the lights went out and it was not comfortable

Disliked: MOVE THE SMOKING section, please, away from doors. Starting to stink inside hotel

Superb

Liked: We have stayed at this location several times and have never been disappointed. The breakfast is one of the best that we have experienced.
Disliked: We stayed during Helene so not a normal visit. I do wish there were battery operated lights in the stair wells because when we left we could not see going down the stairs.

Disliked: The staff is horrid. Unhelpful. Front desk and esp the GM. Housekeeping just stares as you walk by. Such a weird environment. Needed a room for 5 more nights but went elsewhere.

Liked: Location, clean, great breakfast!
Disliked: Parking lot hard to navigate
