Excellent location from JFK airport,...
Liked: Location was super easy to get to and from JFK airport which was really great for us as we arrived late at night and were only there for a limited time while waiting for a connecting flight. Staff were very helpful and let us store our bag for the day before our flight later in the day
Disliked: Breakfast was limited and served on paper plates

Liked: Very clean, well maintained and a nice breakfast as well as super convenient to the AIRTRAIN. Staff also friendly and courteous.
Disliked: Neighborhood is not great but location to AIRTRAIN is super convenient.

Unapproachable staff, ample evidence of...
Disliked: This hotel is a joke. For starters my actual stay here was a nightmare - unapproachable front desk staff, a corridor reeking of cannabis and noisy occupants in the room next to mine. I was charged a security deposit on arrival and it took 29 days going back and forth with the hotel via telephone to get my money back. This is despite them promising to send an email as proof of said deposit being released as requested by my bank. There is one so-called manager in particular working here named Gary. He seriously needs further training in hospitality management and tourism. Going by his google reviews - I’m not the only one with this opinion of him. I cannot imagine one would rise to the ranks of “manager” and lack basic customer service skills. If you cannot do the job properly or are frustrated by it then you should step down and give it to someone more capable of doing it. I have stayed in Holiday Inns around the world and they are usually excellent. I have never yet received such appalling service from this franchise. However, the JFK branch needs to be audited, because the aforementioned behavior is definitely damaging to the IHG brand.
