Liked: The property was near the town centre which was nice and near to where I needed to be for work. I arrived in the evening around 19:00 and staff were polite and friendly, helpful got a late check out sorted.
Disliked: The staff were polite but didn’t seem too happy. Staff in the morning seem way stressed out. The room was alright. It needs updating, it was clean enough but the floors in the room and in hallways have faded and need changing. The room that I was staying in was disabled and didn’t need this. The floor in the bathroom didn’t drain very well and is a slip hazard. There was a door to another hotel room which I didn’t like, I originally thought it was wardrobe. I didn’t feel comfortable as the person in the other room could possibly come into the room. There was an issue with someone who was not a guest in the hotel, entering the hotel and stealing breakfast from the dining room where all guest were eating. This seemed like it wasn’t the first time this happened as staff members didn’t seemed to bothered. The hotel lifts where very small and didn’t sound great, sounded like they would break. It was a fair price for a room and breakfast for £70 but feel for the area and what I looked into cost for this area it was middle ground expected better to be honest. Unfortunately will not be going back. The hotel has so much more potential.
