The hotel is stuck in...

Liked: Location was decent and staff were nice. This was specifically for the Palace Tower.
Disliked: Palace tower feels outdated and unkept. You can hear anyone who walks through the hallway and there are no amenities for the Palace tower, you have to walk. Aside from that you have no true beach access, the onsite restaurants are mediocre at best. The hotel feels like it’s stuck in the early 2000s. The only thing about this hotel that is appealing is the ocean view and the lagoon / dolphins, but even those things feel like they are cash grabs for lack luster experiences. No beach access is crazy considering where the hotel is. Save your money or stay at a nicer hotel with beach access. Charter a catamaran for your experience or go snorkel the local beaches, which are plenty within a 15 minute drive. This place needs serious renovations and more options for quick bites, especially in the morning. The only good thing I would say is that this resort is good for families with kids.

Too big and frustrating

Liked: The room was comfortable and the pool was nice too. I also enjoyed the gym.
Disliked: I did not like how large the property was and how I felt trapped inside when I wanted to get out. Parking is so expensive so that also made me feel trapped. I did not like the food choices and it was so expensive to eat there. The little tram was slower than walking to get around the property. I would not stay here again, it was way too big. Also they try to get you to go to a time share presentation and I did not like that either. If it had a little Hawaiian food restaurant and a store with food that was not so expensive, that would be great. It would also be nice if parking were cheaper and if they never asked me about a timeshare presentation, which they did about five times during our stay.

Good

Liked: The property was amazing. We was upgraded to be right outside of the dolphins.
Disliked: Expensive. The resort charges for everything. For the amount of money we paid it should had been all inclusive. We have been to several other resorts similar to this one and it was all inclusive.

Lack of shade really detracts...

Liked: We loved the lagoon for snorkeling and the dolphins.
Disliked: We hated the lack of shade. For the price of the rooms, you should provide pool umbrellas to provide shade for your guests. There was only one group of the chairs at the pool and less than 8 umbrellas at the lagoon that provide shade throughout the day and they were always taken by 6am. We realize you are trying to make us pay for shaded seats but these should be automatically provided like they are at other hotels, not extra hundreds of dollars.
