£120 per night (Saturday) great...

Liked: Great location base for many activities. Short walk into centre. Facilities clean, host accomodading. Evening meal lovely, happy hour in the bar. Room clean, decent sized TV that you could stream Netflix from.
Disliked: Breakfast was a little on the expensive side at £15:00 per person so we declined. WiFi not great.

Nice hosts good location and...

Liked: Very welcoming hosts, nice large room and very comfortable bed.
Disliked: Breakfast we found expensive for what it was, and also we weren’t offered a choice, we were just given a full English, even though there’s a menu staying eggs Benedict etc,Cheap sausage and hard eggs weren’t great.

Very enjoyable weekend

Liked: Continental breakfast adequate. Coffee machine delivered the same coffee no matter which button you pressed!
Disliked: Croissants could have been fresh rather than out of a packet.Also pillows were a bit on the flat side.

Liked: The staff where very friendly and helpful and it was ideally situated for us the bedrooms where lovely clean and modern.
Disliked: There wasn’t anything to dislike

The duty manager on arrival...

Liked: We have stayed at the High Torr previously, it is still as good as previously was.
Disliked: The Bar area was cold.

Overall a disappointing mini vacation

Liked: Location was excellent, away from town but close enough to walk to. Hotel was clean and tidy.
Disliked: Room - bending to match eaves to get into bed as over 3ft tall, longer than 2 nights would have been a nightmare.Food - cost of english breakfast increased by 80% between website and hotel, hot food served on cold plates, no chef on Tuesdays means no meals, running out of choices despite pre ordering in the morning.Service - Having to aervice our own rooms did not meet our minimum expectations for a hotel, if stay had been longer would have been a complaint.
