Nice place with pleasant employees.

Liked: Comfortable beds; not to noisy.
Disliked: Having to swipe key cards for everything and them not working all the time; shower head too high to adjust if you are a short person.

Exceptional

Liked: Location was perfect. We were driving through from New Orleans to Chicago. Excellent location and accommodations were superb. Ashley and Miss Vicky were the best. They added a great start to the day.

Nice room but extremely noisy...

Liked: The room was good and spacious. The bed was comfortable. There was good WiFi and the temperature could be controlled.
Disliked: We were not informed on booking that a $100 extra retainer had to be paid per night. $200 per room was retained on our credit card per room. This was not specified at time of booking with booking.com. The hotel receptionist was not pleasant concerning this - she did not welcome us when we arrived and pointed us to the notice on the reception desk. At 8:20 am in the morning, the cleaner entered one of the rooms on the morning of check out. She should have known that we were checking out and should not have entered the room unannounced. It was an invasion of the privacy of the guest. We spoke to the manager concernng this.The worst thing about this hotel was the noise on the street in the late evening and throughout the early morning. There was noise from people playing music, joy riders screeching brakes and reved up engines. The hotel was too close to Beale Street. We finally understood why ear plugs were provided for us in the room. Room cleaning was only done every other day which was not specified on check in.The breakfast dishes, including cutlery were all disposable. There was no thought considered for the environment for such waste. For a 3 star hotel, this is unacceptable in today's climate.
