Liked: The hotel's location is quite good — very central, yet quiet. Convenient connections to the Union Station and 16th Mall Street.
Disliked: My experience with the front desk staff was disappointing. Upon arrival, my reservation was cancelled because the hotel’s payment terminal declined my card (temporarily blocked by my bank due to overseas use). Although the issue was resolved within a few hours, and despite the hotel successfully placing a security deposit hold on the same card, I was not allowed to complete the payment online at check-in. This was particularly surprising, as the hotel uses a tipping system via QR codes that clearly enables instant online transactions. This lack of flexibility forced me to make a new reservation at a significantly higher price.Moreover, the hotel refused to issue an invoice for my stay, claiming that they cannot provide invoices for bookings made through third parties like Booking.com. Booking.com, on the other hand, refers me back to the hotel regarding the invoice. I have already submitted a request for intervention and am currently awaiting a resolution.Additionally, bottled water in the room was priced at $5, which seems excessive for a basic amenity typically offered free of charge in hotels of this standard.Breakfasts were another weak point: they were very basic and extremely monotonous throughout the entire stay, with little to no variation.
