Hampton Hotel

Good

Liked: Friendly staff. Good information leaflets in reception.Helpful when I left some stuff behind.
Disliked: Lack of car parking spaces, but roadside parking available.Only one towel, and not allowed a second towel when I asked. Dirty tv remote, which I cleaned as was coated in something dark brown!

Our room was fine for...

Liked: Basic room (but that was all we needed)! plus tea/coffee facilities & all very clean. Staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. Cooked breakfast small ish but good and bar area comfortable and relaxed.
Disliked: Just a couple of small things. Could have done with a small bin in the bathroom and maybe a seat for popping clothes on? Bedroom lamp way too small to use alone so had to keep main light on. Otherwise all good!

Liked: A good budget hotel. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff. Compact room, small but excellent shower
Disliked: In need of a refurbishment, but perfectly acceptable. WiFi kept dropping out every 5 mins, especially annoying as it was needed to stream tv/ movies as the atmospheric interference made the tv unwatchable.

Pleasant

Liked: This is a basic hotel that does what it says on the tin. Comfortable with friendly staff. I've stayed before and will use it again.
Disliked: I know it's a basic hotel but soap to wash your hands with would be nice.

Good value hotel

Liked: Whilst a basic accommodation, it is well maintened and clean. There's a breakfast at no extra cost. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Could of provided hand soap dispenser in ensuite.

Disappointing

Liked: It was clean. The room was en suite.
Disliked: There is no parking. It is not a "Restaurant", it doesn't serve food.Breakfast was supposed to be at 7am, the sign in Reception confirmed this. Staff then told us 0730 at check in. We pointed to the sign and she said, "yeah, it shouldn't say that". 0730 breakfast meant we couldn't have breakfast due to our onward plans and we made that clear. She did not apologise for changing the time, did not attempt to accommodate us with breakfast that we had paid for, in fact, she tried to charge us again. When we were leaving in the morning at 0720, there was already some breakfast items set up and the hot water machine was on so I went to fill my travel cup only to be told by the abrupt lady that worked there, "Breakfast isn't ready yet" repeatedly, almost as if she was trying to stop me. The room, although I appreciate is a single room, was so small. The bed was unstable so that whenever you turn over in it, it moved away from the wall. For nearly £80, it was pretty poor. It was clean though!

Disliked: No light in toilet so no shower that night as toilet was pitch black gale blowing in window was kept awake all night land lord was not on premises to sort these things no parking had to park on double yellow lines outside wouldn't use here again
