Good

Liked: Location is perfect and staff very helpfull. You get a bed and shower after a day out. Good enough for a short visit.
Disliked: Rooms need a renovation, but like I said, good enough for short stay.

Good

Liked: The owners are going to remodel completely and when they do, all the rooms will be much improved. When they do, I will stay there on my next trip!
Disliked: What I did not like I am sure they will fix when they remodel.

Cheap but not cheerful

Liked: The location was perfect for what we expected, the price was also fair £120 for two nights
Disliked: The room wasn’t cleaned, there was smears of blood on the curtains/wall behind the bedWe found bedbugs on the final night as room wasn’t cleaned (wasn’t expected for the price) and when we notified the manager the next morning we were met with hostility claiming if there was bed bugs it was down to us for bringing them, very very unprofessional

Bed Bugs

Liked: Location
Disliked: Tried to message before stay as I'd seen reviews saying they have a problem with bed bugs. I didn't get a non automated response and so I had to book alternative accommodation at a travelodge last minute as I couldn't risk getting eaten/infested with bed bugs.No response to the fee waiver request.

very old building in a...

Liked: it is an old building in the centre of London. location is everything. I was on the top floor. squeeky floors and stairs but clean as a very old room can be. Bathroom renovated and clean. water pressure low. hot water not always available it was good enough for a two days stay with most of the time spent outside and only used for sleep. give it a try but don’t expect luxury!
Disliked: it’s hard to say as all the hotels on Gower Street are very old and it is what it is. not for families or people unfamiliar with the fact that London is vwry old and some buildings are still around after 150 years..
