Very good

The overall stay was great....

Liked: Room was lovely and clean,ample but very small. Bed was big and comfortable. We have stayed here before due to the beach location, pool and Spa facilities. My partner had some Spa treatments for the first time and would definitely do it again.
Disliked: A good selection for breakfast. However No Veggie options out although you could ask for omelette, and Veggie sausages they were happy to cook them for you. It would be nice to have these out with all the other varieties of food on display instead of having to ask a member of staff. I asked before arrival as it was a celebration stay of my partners 60th birthday if they were able to decorate the room. The reply was I had to ask on arrival. Although his birthday was the day after check in I would have loved it to be a surprise but took my own decorations just in case. We got to the room there was a laminated piece of paper typed out Happy Birthday. Although I'm grateful I know they could have made mire of an effort. We have stayed in hotels for 1 night on an occasion and they have gone above and beyond to make it special. We spent 4 days here and have been before and just expected a bit more.I asked for a trolley on arrival to help bring our luggage in. I was told they don't have one. This surprised me as there were quite a few elderly people there and you cannot park right outside.Carpark is at the back of the hotel but entrance only at the front. I definitely think the hotel need to invest in some trolleys.

Great Value for Money

Liked: We spent 3 nights at this hotel with family and celebrated a 40th Birthday. We couldn't fault the hotel or the staff who were very helpful. The buffet style breakfasts were excellent with plenty of choice and all items seemed to be replenished regularly.The hotel is ideally located for the beaches, the town centre and the cliff walks.I am sure we will return to Bournemouth in the near future and we would certainly recommend staying at the Durley Dean Hotel

Liked: Breakfast was satisfactory.
Disliked: Cold poolSteam room not working Expensive and Very small car park spaces meaning that I had to park on the road which then meant that my car was damaged by another car ! Desk staff not very concerned with this to my surprise.Also quite loud music playing from somewhere close to our room in the building until early hours.

Excellent would definitely stay again....

Budget hotel with small car...

Liked: Restaurant was nice with lovely food and pleasant service. Pool was small but ok and liked the steam room and sauna. Room basic and small but comfortable enough.
Disliked: Strong smell of cigarettes throughout much of the building, especially the lobby. Parking limited and for an extra charge.
