DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Pedro - Port of Los Angeles

This hotel met our needs...

Liked: Loved the marina setting. Being near to cruise port was main reason for staying. Staff were helpful and friendly, especially the servers in the restaurant. Shuttle service to cruise ship was so nice.
Disliked: I can’t think of much. It was just fine for an overnight stay.

Disliked: The property was not maintained. Pool area dirty. Parking lot dirty.

Passable

Liked: I would have liked to have known there would be additional hold of $100 for deposit
Disliked: As hilton reward customer i didn't like having to pay $4 for 6 oz cup of coffee

Disliked: The room , no soundproofing from the windows. Could hear the traffic from the frreway

Liked: The location was good and they provided a shuttle to cruise port.
Disliked: Being Hilton owned we expected more. The facilities were old and poorly maintained. Was overpriced and staff very non caring. Early check in was a $50.00 charge even after I communicated weeks ago requesting an early check in which they agreed to with no mention of a fee. They even offered a shuttle to attractions in our earlier communication but after we got there they did not. We ended up walking to nearby attractions and took an Uber back. 5 miles walking. The restaurant was too small for the capacity of the hotel. Breakfast was very good but wait very long. Wait staff was great considering being overwhelmed. The room was nice enough but carpet needed cleaning and lighting in bathroom was poor. Elevator was in need of service !!
