Very good

Liked: Good location, nice art deco hotel,staff were attentive.
Disliked: Needs a little bit of redecorating.

Upsetting for all!

Liked: Loved the facilities indoor/outdoor pool and the room was clean & comfortable. All the staff at bar & reception were friendly u til we had an issue…..
Disliked: We booked this hotel 8 months ago. We were a large party that had booked many rooms, all to celebrate my sisters 50th birthday. The large party travelled from all over the country to meet and celebrate. On arrival my sister was told her room was no longer available and had been cancelled. She was booked for 2 nights. Her & her friend were told there was 1 single room available only that night and the hotel was full the following night so u would have alternative accommodation on a Saturday in June and if either didn’t want to take the single, please move aside as there’s a busy queue. My sister was in tears… a manager was called who had absolutely zero empathy for the situation and in fact was incredibly argumentative & rude. She offered her a room in another hotel at full cost and basically said that’s your option. I tried to intervene and express how this day was all about us as a group together celebrating my sisters special day and she was clearly upsetting us but she simply said “do you want to listen or not” long story short my sister had to bunk in with another of the party and her friend paid for a single room. No apology, attempt to calm the situation, offer her a drink while we get the situation sorted etc no explanation, just a like it or lump it attitude and the manager was actually losing her temper with my sister who was beside herself crying. It ruined the whole weekend as we all felt guilty in our rooms. The following morning something changed her attitude and she offered a spa treatment at a later date but the weekend had already been spoilt. Booked via booking.com but we called 2 days before to double check the booking to be told the room was safely booked. We showed proof of this on our phone but the manager said they had done nothing wrong as it was booked at the time. Avoid if it’s a special occasion, it couldn’t feel less special, liken it to a Karens diner like we were being pranked!

Liked: Clean friendly staff
Disliked: The pool area was very busy and people from other hotels visiting and putting towels on beds very early stopped us as guest being able to sit around the pool

Perfect seaside break.

Liked: Great location. Walking distance to Bournemouth pier and beach access.Buses stop outside the hotel which was great as we decided to travel by train. Walking distance from the train station too.The food was wonderful.
Disliked: The car park looked a bit choc a bloc, so we were glad that we left our car at home.
