Liked: Comfortable quiet room, great buffet breakfast
Disliked: I thought the carpet in our room looked a bit dirty

Gorgeous weekend for husbands birthday!

Liked: Lovely place to stay, lovely breakfast, perfect location! Had a pizza to take up to the room and it was very nice!

A good break in lovely...

Liked: The room was good but another easy chair would have made it perfect. The man who cleaned the room went above and beyond. he was kind, thoughtful, caring. The reception were excellent. Efficient, professional, caring, informative, smiling.
Disliked: The restaurant could have been much better. On the first night the service and food were excellent. On the second night a similar experience, on the third night the staff were not anywhere near so efficient and seemed more interested in doing things on the computer. When I went to sign for the meal the desk was full of trays just abandoned. Staff not interested. On the last it all fell apart and we made a complaint which was dealt with by reception very well. However the man in charge kept asking us questions, the service didn't improve and the meal was not up to the standard of the previous nights.

Liked: Well-trained, friendly, helpful and service minded staff. Size of the room is spacious.
Disliked: I stayed here for 4 nights and the breakfast was exactly the same in everyday.

Dine out rather than dine...

Liked: The facilities were fine and the staff were friendly
Disliked: On a normal evening we would have dined out in Harrogate but the rain forced us to stay in the hotel for dinner which we had expected to be sumptious. So we were bitterly disappointed with what was offered. I asked for a medium/well done steak but I was given one that was more like leather. My partner had a stomach upset after her chicken curry. Furthermore, I was disappointed that having ordered a Caesar's Salad from the side dishes column, I was then charged for a main course one costing £9 more. Why would I have wanted two main courses? The bill was subsequently reduced but I was upset by the original attempt to rip me off
