Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Washington D.C. East - Capitol Heights MD

Someone had the wrong room number - kept banging on our door 4:00 am. The carpet in the lobby and hall way was filthy; sofa in the lobby was dirty and arms were torn; the elevator looked as if it had not been cleaned in months. Also, the curtain rod in the room was broken. I would not recommend any of my friends to stay at this hotel.

Would return without hesitation!

Liked: Front desk staff were excellent. All questions were answered and made our party feel at ease. The free breakfast was wonderful. Overall a very good experience. Staff deserves recognition.
Disliked: Shower rod broken.

I didn’t even stayed because...

Liked: The staff was nice
Disliked: The room was completely pitiful, very uncomfortable to stay in. You can tell housekeeping doesn’t really take care of the rooms. Fridge was dirty in both rooms I requested. The first room did not meet standards so the staff let me get another room. I just felt uncomfortable staying in the room to where I never even stayed. I left after seeing both rooms; and I did not get a refund.

Very unsatisfactory provisions

Liked: The location was in close proximity to where I needed to travel
Disliked: We had booked a room for us with disabilities. Both of us were traveling with physical needs that required and walk-in shower. The first room did not have it and the toilet was broke and the floor in the bathroom looked horrible. In addition, the room was warm and the air was stale. The second room provided for us was clean and smelled fresh unlike the first room But again there were no bathing opportunities for one of us. one was able to manage getting her leg over the tub, the other could not, and therefore was unable to shower also in the second room where we stayed the lighting was out in the doorway. We’re both elders and lighting is very important And the phone didn’t work, and there was no numbers on the phone or literature in the room with the number to the front desk and management was not available until Monday all of which necessitated traveling back and forth to the front desk for everything that we needed.; such as towels as there was only one bath towel provided in the stack. Of course the room had not been prepared for us since it was the second choice. Additionally, my cousin sat in the desk chair in the back was so loose.She nearly fell. We are very unhappy with our stay and don’t appreciate being charged for a room labeled handicap accessible when the only thing provided in that room was hand bars. Is this even legal?
