Comfort Suites Fort Wayne - Southwest

The hotel was clean and well decorated for the season - was very warm and inviting and the rates were perfect. Will definitely stay here again!

Liked: The front desk clerk was very friendly and accommodating and the rooms had recently been updated, so everything was pretty new.
Disliked: They were doing remodeling work in the lobby during my stay and my room was right off the lobby, so the air compressor cut my late afternoon nap short. The remodeling construction in my rooms were poor quality (sloppy painting, crooked tiles with glue and grout "overflow" onto the walls that was not cleaned up, obvious to see where drywall was patched). Walls were thin and I could hear the TV and phone conversations in the room next to me. There were greasy handprints on several walls in my room, which I wiped up because I didn't want the hotel to think I did it and charge me an extra cleaning fee. I asked to switch rooms my 2nd night due to the noise from the room next door, and I could hear the TV next door to my new room as well, so the walls are thin. I also noticed some of the pillow cases in my new room smelled like cologne, so I highly doubt housekeeping changed pillowcases from the last guest! The continental breakfast was lukewarm and didn't offer a great selection. If I go back to Ft. Wayne, I will look for other lodging options.
