Comfort Suites Alamo Riverwalk

The hotel could use a few upgrades but must say the breakfast was awesome. Treat your staff well, they work hard. Pretty close to the Riverwalk.

Liked: Loved the breakfast and the staff. I would like to mention an employee Georgia Rios who met me every morning with such a friendly and warm disposition. This employee should be recognized and given a huge pat on the back. She had a huge breakfast, ready to be eaten by 6:30 and kept the food stocked and also the area spotless. Thank you!
Disliked: Did not complain but my bedding was not clean. It must not have been changed as there was a yellow stain at the bottom of the white top comforter which I promptly folded off the bed. Bathroom tub wasn't very clean either. Had to call for toilet paper and also had to call for clean towels.

The homeless are very bad...

Liked: Fairly clean decent location
Disliked: They charge 100.00 deposit per room that’s not mentioned! Also they charge 15.00 per day for parking in their parking lot! Also my total for booking was 818 and some change they charged me 915 not the same! Their rooms don’t look like the pics on your web site either! Furniture was older and dirty! The loveseat in our room looked rough!

Other that the minor things...

Liked: The breakfast was good. Sausage a bit salty but for free breakfast... Not going to complain. The staff at the front desk was wonderful.
Disliked: We had one roll of toilet paper that wasn't a new roll from the start. Not enough towels were provided for the number of people we had. When they came and cleaned the room they took all the towels and only left 1 towel, 1 wash rag and 1 floor towel. There were 3 moms and 4 toddlers. Also one elevator didn't work and the working one had me questioning if it was going to break down with me inside. Electric car charging stations also wasn't working.

Good value for the cost

Liked: Location for attractions. There is a club a block away so there is loud music until about 2:00 am. Beds were comfortable.
Disliked: The maid service. They took our dirty towels but didn't replace them. It took 4 hours to get linens for the sofa bed.

Liked: Breakfast was decent, beds were okay.
Disliked: Only one elevator worked the whole time, our room key kept getting disconnected every single time we’d leave the room, we were on the 5th floor and with only one elevator working, it started to get frustrating having to go back down which always took at least 5mins or longer to wait for it to come back for you. We needed new room towels but was told they were left in the washer & worker didn’t have the key to go put them in the dryer so I said okay we will suck it up tonight, next day came around after using the 3 towels for 5ppl & housekeeping said they still did not have any clean towels. You do have to pay for parking which doesn’t make sense when the main parking lot only has like 12 spots so once it fills up you have to park under the bridge where there is a whole on the side fence & there was a bunch of homeless ppl around that area. Overall, Breakfast was okay & bed was not that bad.

Disappointed by the Chance and...

Liked: Some staff were helpful, but some people like General Manager Misty was very verbally ugly to me and an over nite front desk clerk named Juawl, who had the same poor training that of Misty the general manager, rude, hostile, condescending mean and hatful
Disliked: Hospitality is not provided by the individuals that are the first contact with the public at large. One elevator still not working since my last visit over a year ago
