Comfort Suites Alamo Riverwalk

The hotel could use a few upgrades but must say the breakfast was awesome. Treat your staff well, they work hard. Pretty close to the Riverwalk.

Liked: Loved the breakfast and the staff. I would like to mention an employee Georgia Rios who met me every morning with such a friendly and warm disposition. This employee should be recognized and given a huge pat on the back. She had a huge breakfast, ready to be eaten by 6:30 and kept the food stocked and also the area spotless. Thank you!
Disliked: Did not complain but my bedding was not clean. It must not have been changed as there was a yellow stain at the bottom of the white top comforter which I promptly folded off the bed. Bathroom tub wasn't very clean either. Had to call for toilet paper and also had to call for clean towels.

Overall stay was ok

Liked: Staff was friendly. Location was close to where we needed to be.
Disliked: Our original room ac did not work so they switched our room. The new room smelt like pee and then I’m the middle of the night members of staff tried to open the door (stopped only due to inner locking device) and were confused and told us the room was supposed to be empty and had to confirm before my husband could go back to bed.

Disappointing

Disliked: When I arrived around 10:30pm there was an extremely long line to check. Unfortunately, there was only one person, checking people in. Although she was nice, she made sure to take her sweet, sweet time on each person . After a while someone finally came to help her. (It looked like she had just woken up) So, by the time I settled in it was about 11:30. My room was very grungy! Weird, nasty, Splatters all over the curtain. An old rotted yogurt under the AC. Furniture was stained. One of our bathroom towels had brown marks. When I went to breakfast I kindly asked the lady there cleaning if the waffles were out. She looked at me and ignored me. This hotel was also located I between a few bars. So starting around 1:50 A.M. you start to hear the loud music and the cars reving up over and over.
