Disappointing other than the view.

Disliked: We were in room 201. Unbeknownst to us because it was our first time in Newport, there must be a bar underneath the hotel, we’re guessing? The noise level starting around 8:30 was insanely loud until all hours of the night! We stayed a Friday and Saturday night in March. The first night we thought it was noise from other rooms partying around us, the second night we realized there had to be a bar underneath us but it was too late to ask for a new room. It was a family trip to visit local colleges and both of our sons said it was the worst experience staying at a hotel they’ve ever had, which was very unfortunate because it marred the whole weekend, due to the fact that we had to be in bed early and up early for the college visit days. I can’t believe I didn’t see any other reviews about this, unless the hotel purposefully takes them down. Hopefully this review stays up long enough to save someone else the same misery. Very disappointing! The parking was also not optimal, but that another story!

Disliked: They emailed me and canceled my room and sent me to another hotel across the river which would have put me out of walking distance to all the places we were going to that weekend and would have had to spend money on expenses taxi rides so I had to get another room somewhere else at a higher price so we could be where we needed to be
