I loved the Nylo Dallas. If you are an artist, or love 'out-of-the-box' milieu, please stay there. It's like staying at an artist's home, who has imagination. No cookie-cutter/chain design. This place was authentic artistry with colourful lighting. I loved it. Service was excellent.

Liked: I loved the design, the 'chill' artistic atmosphere, the colour; I loved the dress code policy!
Disliked: Nothing!

We loved NYLO. The rooms were great, and it was less than a 5 minute walk to the venue. The food at the hotel bar/bistro was excellent, and the rooftop infinity pool was gorgeous, as was the view of the skyline at night. I would definitely stay at this place again and highly recommend it to others.

Liked: View; location; decor; friendly staff; FOOD!
Disliked: A little noisy; rooms could use more sound proofing.

Good

Liked: New, comfortable, clean
Disliked: No food options! I?m a big coffee drinker. Coffee maker had rust in water hold section. Didn?t use. Stayed two nights to get away from everything, taking a nap mid-day housekeeper comes banging at the door (do not disturb sign deliberately placed on door handle) to ask if I was staying or leaving. Can the get that information from front desk? A bit pricey all things considered.

Disliked: I can?t say there was anything we didn?t like. I mean I wish it weren?t during quarantine and we could have enjoyed all the amenities but we will be back for sure

Pleasant

Liked: It felt almost like home. Very laid back
Disliked: We didn?t know they were renovating. We couldn?t sit on the roof top. That was one of the main reasons we choose that hotel.

Policing the guests more than...

Liked: The view on the skyline rooftop view of Dallas is great, but that is about it.
Disliked: Well, after the amazing rooftop view and spacious rooms there is little to be desired. The amazing lobby and lounge areas are to be seen not used. The hotel location is a good desert, and the management will not allow guests to eat or drink anything in common areas from outside vendors, EVEN when the hotel restaurants are closed! We had two rooms, and a party of 10. Thought our family could eat pizza and play games in the beautiful lobby, but NO, management sent out entire family to our rooms. This supposed four-star doesn?t even have a 24-hour cafe, vending or glass of milk. Just a gas station in a sketchy neighborhood was suggested. NOT FOUR STAR. Then, when sitting outside the hotel, to keep an eye on our vehicles, since this ?four-Star? parking is really an abandoned lot of a closed bar, we witnessed vandals breaking/throwing glass down on the parking lot from the abandoned building adjacent to hotel...THIS IS NOT FOUR-Star!! The valet hid in his car, while the front desk debated whether to call security. Again, management was more interested policing paying guests eating in lobby than vandals in the parking lot...NOT FOUR STAR. We paid $1600 and were treated like criminals and also felt unsafe parking, we were isolated and far from anything downtown or accommodating or within distance, other than a gas station in a dark abandoned neighborhood. Canvas Management needs to go back to PR SCHOOL and treat $1600 paying guests with dignity.
