Burley Court Hotel

The room was clean, but wasn't impressed with the used laundry still on the floor under the fire extinguisher in the hallway, when the used linen bags were round the corner. The bed I had, had seen better days - felt the springs of the mattress even before turning the duvet down and also had a dent through the middle. Finding the room from the lift was okay, but to find it on going out was awkward. One of the cups had been washed but still traces of lipstick left on the rim. No comment on meals as we didn't book any, but plenty of places to eat within walking distance.

Disliked: Bed; bath could have had an extra handle for getting in to the shower.

Liked: The security of the property in the evening, with access to the hotel only via key code
Disliked: I booked room only, but the hotel info suggested there was a restaurant where meals could be purchased, but this was never offered upon arrival and I saw no food service at all. The hotel had a bar, however it was never open.

Disliked: Carpet filthy,bathroom filthy,large cobwebs on windows,no TV working,kettle had orange water inside. View outside was a rubbish tip,.room smells of damp and musty.Manager told me he was doing me a favour when he gave me my key as I booked another day with them on the Friday. All in all very disappointed and couldn't wait to get home and sleep. Could only take 2 photos as phone died and no charger in room.
