Safe neighborhood location. Decent stay...

Liked: Brentwood Inn is located the corner of red lights in a relatively safe residential area. There wasn’t much traffic so it was easy to get out and in. Parking is pretty easy and spacious in LA terms. Employees were friendly and helpful. It was a decent stay, but definitely not worth what we paid. They’re undergoing renovations and I’m hoping it would improve since this place has so much potential.
Disliked: There were stains on the chair and carpet. There were also hair on the bed and it was hard taking a shower without the curtains sticking onto you. The bed had lots of springs making the bed uncomfortable. The pillows were also a bit hard for our liking. You can easily hear the cars and fire station nearby throughout the night. This may be due to the lack of sound proofing in the windows and ceiling. It was raining during our stay so you can really hear the rain hitting through roof throughout the night.

Liked: I didn’t know when I booked but my room had a private patio and it was a nice bonus. It was a rainy weekend and I didn’t get to enjoy the patio but it was nice.
Disliked: Bath tub instead of just shower would make it even better!

Great location, fair price and...

Liked: Location was the key point for my wife and I as it was the nearest hotel/motel in the upscale Brentwood area near a family home and weekend gathering. Area was very safe, Room was comfortable enough and was well cleaned and refreshed. Bed was comfy. I brought along a white-noise machine as I knew it was on a busy street Sunset Boulevard and that that did the trick. Reasonable rate for the pricey location.
Disliked: Minimal breakfast - a pot of hot water and tea bags, a fruit (banana one day, orange the next) and a berry filled snackbar - but went out for a cup of good coffee. Everything was skimpy - only a few thin towels, only 1 regular/1 decaf coffee pod in the room, shower but no bath. Half the hotel was under renovation. Our heater and a/c didn't work. The entry door was out of alignment with the frame so we were stuck inside until the office clerk was able to shoulder the door open from the outside.
