Great room

Liked: Large room, quiet, good location to visit son and his wife to continue up as four to the Crucible. Staff friendly at breakfast. Good value for couple now retired.
Disliked: Not told on check in no cooked breakfast only cereal / toast so wife disappointed as she looked forward to her mushrooms off the menu left out. Also strong pungent smell in corridor to room but found at at breakfast water leak that weekend and awaiting resolution.

Disliked: The breakfast was very poor , no cooked breakfast as Chef ill but the continental breakfast would have been fine but at £6.75 each for basically toast and instant coffee was not great - I dont expect others to compete with Wetherspoons but we had breakfast at a Derby Wethers - 2 cooked traditional breakfasts plus tea and coffee - £13.15 for the 2 !Would have been fine if it had been a proper continental breakfast with a few more items to choose from but would not stop me from staying again - just breakfast somewhere else.

Liked: Very helpful staff,I need to borrow an iron and board,Room was clean and tidy bathroom was very warm after a shower.Meal in pub was great breakfast the next morning set us up for the day.
Disliked: Nothing
