very nice place to stay,...

Liked: Enjoyed the facilities and of course the location was amazingly close to everything. Staff were very nice.
Disliked: I thought the room was a bit out dated with the mahogany furniture. There was also a wedding on the 2nd night we had to share the other bar with which was a shame along with not being able to eat there that night.

A hotel of two halves,...

Liked: Breakfasts are exceptional: quality produce and choice, tablecloths, served from hot tureens and experience is made to feel special. Pool, jacuzzi and spa facilities are spacious, clean and massages are heavenly. Superb friendly service. Location fantastic- close to everything.
Disliked: Hotel looks a little dated with 70s decor in corridors, and streets leading to hotel from town centre not most salubrious. Best approached from seafront side!

Passable

Liked: Breakfast was nice, lots of choice. The spa had a jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and pool but needs attention with up keep. The bed is comfortable.
Disliked: The room was small with old windows that let a draft in, there were holes in the net curtains, old and tired decor, small room. The chair was broken in the spa and ceilings/walls marked throughout the hotel and spa, tiny lift that 2 people with bags would struggle to fit in, found clumps of hair on side of jacuzzi and pool, we were not given towels at reception though it states they will give you them and when asking for directions to spa we and had to go all the way back up stairs to get towels to a comment of oh sorry I forgot. Room radiators were turned off by cleaners, got back to cold room. Would rate a 3 star Hotel with a misleading entrance that looks nicer than the rest of the hotel.

Liked: Fanatic hotel, location and facilities
Disliked: Ran out of a couple of things at breakfast on bank holiday Monday which was a shame but I understand pre-ordering ahead would have been difficult with the bank holiday. Staff could have been more attentive and smiley. They were very informative but lacked a smile and “have a nice day” for example.

Amazing stay and would recommend...

Liked: The Complimentary spa usage - jacuzzi, swimming pool, sauna and the steam room - provided towels as well. In addition, breakfast was amazing in the morning, hot and fresh full english and nice and warm croissants and pain au chocalat and danishes,
Disliked: Coffee machine in breakfast is a bit too over used so needs changing.

Wasn’t expensive for a May...

Liked: As you come in it’s looks nice and well presented Staff were extremely helpful and friendly
Disliked: Room was small and dated, peanuts on the floor, window was dirty and grubby (could have been mould around the outsides of the window) Spa needed a makeover and update, ceiling panels were brown and Jacuzzi was poor
