Where modern heritage meets a warm Derbyshire welcome. Oakhill is a beautiful Grade 2 Listed (Georgian style) house built by the Arkwright family in the mid 19th century as a private family dwelling. The hotel is located in the stunning Derbyshire countryside set in extensive landscaped gardens within the historic village of Cromford in the UNESCO Derwent Valley World Heritage Site. Oakhill has four beautifully furnished suites all with the most wonderful open views. Each is finished to an impeccable standard with original features and thoughtful heritage touches throughout. There are ten further bedrooms offering comfortable and spacious accommodations with private bathrooms. Derbyshire dining at its best! Experience Oakhill's elevated take on traditional home cooking with a friendly thoughtful service. We serve breakfast lunches dinners and afternoon teas. We pride ourselves on using locally sourced quality ingredients complemented by a reasonably priced comprehensive wine list. Our stylish bar and lounge and elegant dining room overlook our beautiful garden. We can cater for any family celebration including weddings. Please note: Due to us being a Grade II listed building this means that our rooms and grounds are not suitable for customers with mobility issues. We do advise you to call reception to discuss this further.

Gem of a hotel

Liked: We stayed here from 10th -13th March and we can't rate it too highly. It's a beautiful hotel in a fabulous location. The food was excellent as was the service.

Superb

Liked: Perfect location in the Peak District, within easy walking distance to the centre of Cromford with its amazing bookshop. Friendly, attentive staff.Great food and beers
Disliked: The bedroom was a bit on the small side, which wasn't a problem at all for us, especially for a one night stay.

Great place run by wonderful...

Liked: The room was wonderful. Large and well decorated. Breakfast was great and in a lovely room.Location was great for where we needed to be.
