Liked: Lovely big room spotlessly clean . Very accommodating staff . Breakfast surprisingly filling . And very tasty .
Disliked: My only issue would be the bed was very creaky maybe too close to the wall and rubbing but also the sofa at the end of the bed was too close. As like to have my feet off the end of the bed . And need a light near dressing table .

A very enjoyable overnight stay...

Liked: Great location with walks and village on the doorstep, set in very pretty gardens. We enjoyed sitting in these in the evening as it was a very hot day when we visited. Friendly, helpful staff, nice room with great shower. Restaurant was very good (better than we had expected); breakfast was very nicely prepared and offered good variety. We thought the hotel was good value for our overnight stay and we would happily stay again.
Disliked: It was very hot in the room, even with a fan, but then you don’t get such high temperatures very often in Derbyshire! Some drinking water in the room would have been good but really very little to dislike here.
