Awful, owner needs to be...

Liked: We chose this hotel because we have stayed here on 2 previous occasions.
Disliked: Upon checkin we were told that extra towels would be about 20 mins. There were unsavory looking individuals hanging around outside. There was a door propped open by the lock with a large dog barking behind it. The doors to the bathroom were filthy with hand and fingerprints. The beds were smaller than before. The sofa bed had no sheets on it or even in the closets. The safe bed mattress was dark brown in spots. There was a roach crawling up the kitchen wall. We immediately packed our belongings and requested a refund!

Short lived, left after finding...

Liked: Front desk clerk was very polite.
Disliked: The room had bugs! Roaches and roach feces! The walls in the room look like they haven’t been cleaned since the place was built. The couch was filthy! The oven had so much grease burnt on the inside. The room was just nasty!

Awful policy both Hawghorn Suites...

Disliked: I sure would like to have my money back for the cancellation I made 20 days prior to the schedostay but neither Hawthorne Suites, Booking.com or American Express would refund my non-used hotel stay! They stole my $255.59 for nothing but gutted my feeling quite badly!!! I will never use Booking.com any more. I will report to the BBB for sure!

Disliked: Everything was DISGUSTING! We were there for a basketball tournament & had to find another hotel at 6:00 p.m. after a 6-hour drive.

Liked: It seemed like a decent place until getting in the room.
Disliked: The pictures hanging in the rooms SHOULD NOT HAVE GLASS!!! Especially one in the kitchen!!! They should also be MORE SECURED to the walls!!!! They fall off easily!!!! First room we got into was NOT CLEAN!!! Second room, we found a crack pipe!!!!! Also, with rooms having a kitchen to use, there should be cooking dishes and utensils to use as well!!!!
