Awesome hotel with amazing location...

Liked: The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, that he was great recommendations and suggestions for things to do that. They personally enjoyed. Everything was very clean as well.
Disliked: Our room was right next to the elevator, so it was a bit noisy, but everything truly met my expectations.

Good place to stay, although...

Liked: Good bed with reading lights on both sides of the bed. View of the Alamo. Good AC. They let us check in very early!!The Crockett Tavern, apparently not related but on site, had terrific food! We ate there three meals. The breakfast cafe was limited in offerings but the coffee was good.
Disliked: I wish they had reminded me that there was a swimming pool!!! Although they did give us a map when we asked, the staff was not especially forthcoming about how to get places or what might be available nearby.

Disliked: Bigger tv, bigger room, newer chair. Free breakfast and definite Free Parking.45dollars is way to much.

Enjoyable but could do better.

Liked: Its location next to The Alamo, and the centre of San Antonio. Its ambiance and its historical links. The drinks from the bar were very good.
Disliked: The quality of the food served in the bar is average. The bar service is inconsistent and lacking in attention. Food options are limited / non existent for people with special dietary needs.
