Disliked: Let me start by saying we have stayed here multiple times through the years. My spouse is in the military and it’s close to our family, so we can leave the kids with grandparents and have a night of alone time when my spouse returns from duty away from home. This hotel has gone significantly down hill since our last stay three years ago. We were called multiple times the day of arrival and asked to pay over the phone, which was not something that we have never had them do before, and it started feeling a bit scammy and I was uncomfortable giving the woman my card information and told her we would pay in arrival. When we arrived, the girl at the counter said the new management watches on cameras to make sure that we pay ahead of time? That felt really uncomfortable. Additionally, every time we walked through the lobby, “naked and afraid” was on the public tv and the receptionist was sat watching it. Upon arriving in our room, we discover the AC made a horrible noise, which was so loud, we had to yell over it to speak. We tried connecting to the internet, and it wasn’t working. When my husband called the front desk to ask about the WiFi, we were told that the manager was aware and refusing to come and fix it. The room had multiple broken items. There was even a trash bag taped over the smoke detector in our room. We stayed, but felt uncomfortable and left the door bolted and locked anytime we were in it, and left nothing in the room when we left for dinner. While breakfast was included, after seeing the state of the hotel itself, the idea of eating food prepared there was not even remotely appealing.
