Superb

Liked: I loved the hotel's decor. There is plenty of seating throughout the first floor. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic for visiting the Riverwalk, was museum or The Alamo.
Disliked: The actual room was dark, despite numerous lamps. There was only overhead lighting in the bathroom and entryway to the room.

Came for a business conference...

Liked: I wish I had gone to the breakfast but I didn’t. I loved the pool and just the old beautiful 1800s nature of the property. Location can’t be beat!!
Disliked: All the construction out front but I know that will go away soon. The pillows were not as comfortable as when I’ve stayed at the Marriott or the Hyatt. They were kind of lumpy in weird ways.

Liked: The hotel was in a perfect location and the main reception was lovely and very clean
Disliked: Staff was the least most friendly of all the hotels we stayed I. No big smile at reception and in bar think staff looked unhappy all around the hotel. Rooms were a little overpriced for what they were

Liked: The location was great right next to the Alamo and several shops. The riverwalk was just a couple blocks away.
Disliked: The room size was pretty small. The bathroom was small and felt tight. Not uncommon for a historical hotel, but something to note.
