Overall, it was a nice place but one that seemed to be justifying its rates based on location and little else. I'd stay there again but not before looking at other options in the area first.

Disliked: Wifi was down the entire weekend. Not a big deal except when you're paying $330 a night.

Liked: The staff at the hotel go out of their way to accommodate your requests. They’re the best part of the stay! The rooms are comfortable and spacious by NY standards.
Disliked: The elevators are very slow.

Liked: The bed and room were very comfortable. Loved the location and neighborhood! And it was delightful to have the French bakery as breakfast option.
Disliked: For breakfast, perhaps have desk advise that arriving on the hour or half hour for breakfast is when lines are longest - showing up 5-10min earlier makes it much faster.

Disliked: The hotel room I booked did not match the photo provided to me. The room had a single window and was facing another room's window with a wall in between. In the photos on Booking.com, the windows were facing multiple open areas. My room was dark and tiny, and when I wanted to change it (even though I upgraded to a queen bed), they asked for extra money again. The bathroom was quite small, and the sink was as small as a children's sink; it was even difficult to wash our faces. What they called "breakfast included" was a bakery coupon given in exchange for $10. It doesn't even cover the cost of a coffee and croissant that you wait in line for in the mornings. Unfortunately, apart from its proximity to Central Park, it did not meet any of my expectations. It was a disappointment for us.

Liked: The hotel employees, front desk, porter,.waiter and waitress and the pastry shop are kind, caring and congenital. The room was comfortable, clean and simple. Old world charm and elegance.
Disliked: Nothing not to like. Great neighborhood, close to transportation and central park, and truly enjoyable.
