Hilton Garden Inn Chelsea, New York City

I would highly recommend staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Chelsea. Friendly staff; nice location; room was clean, roomy and comfortable.

Liked: Very good location to reach out all sightseeing attractions and you can do everything by foot.Staff is very helpful and friendly. They organise everything for you and help out where they can.

Pleasant

Liked: Location was very convenient. Easy to get to subway and also walkable to most places to see in Manhattan.
Disliked: Very slow elevators. One of the two elevators was broken and people waited for 10 minutes or more on multiple days. Staff did not provide any notification or help coordinate access. Room cleaning and restocking was erratic. We had to run behind the cleaning staff everyday for refills for soap, coffee pods towels etc. Even after letting them know we had 4 guests in the double room, they would stock for single occupancy. They claim to be a green hotel, but provide tiny plastic tubes for toiletries. At the end of our stay we had necessarily generated a mountain of plastic. Using dispensers for essentials would have been the smarter and more efficient thing to do.

Liked: Bigger than average room size for NYC! Comfy beds, great breakfast on site, friendly staff.

Bigger room that expected

Liked: The hotel is located conveniently near a subway stop. There are many eating options nearby and multiple shopping options north and south of the hotel. The room sizes are great considering you are in New York City.
Disliked: The number of lifts seems low considering the number of hotel rooms, but we didn't have what I'd call an excessive wait for a lift. We arrived after check-in time and the rooms were not ready. One more chair in our room would have allowed both guests staying in a King room to sit at the desk and eat.
