We had a problem with the room and it was taken care of quickly. The problem was not the fault of the hotel staff but more so the building itself.
Liked: The bed was amazing.
Disliked: None really.

Liked: The location is very good, this is one of my favorite in the city. We were really pleased with the size of the room, which was rather ample. Although the room is not cleaned every day, it does not bother, and when it is done, it is well done.
Disliked: One elevator was not working until the almost end of our stay, which was annoying as there were many people and it made rather difficult for the hotel staff to work efficiently (which they anyway did!). In the room, the air con was not functioning properly and should get a repair (impossible to turn it off, the repair man told us there was a piece that should be changed, it never was during our stay there). Also, although I told at the check in staff that I would like to pay with another credit card than the one I booked the room with, the full amount of the stay was taken from this very same credit card the same day of the arrival, creating an annoying situation. Indeed, at check out, I paid with my other credit card, and the amount of the stay was hence taken twice and to date, I am still waiting for the refund of the first payment.

A decent stay but better...
Disliked: Be warned! When you book this hotel they will put a credit card authorisation for the full amount of your stay. Then when you check in they will take a further $100 deposit. Then when you check out they will charge you the full amount of your stay! I’ve never heard a hotel doing this. So now I have two full amounts on my credit card plus $100 deposit until the authorisation and deposit are released from my credit card! The hotel itself is pretty old and run down and the room while clean is also looking pretty shabby. Bed is very squeaky

Wouldn’t stay there again. Cost...
Liked: The staff at front desk and the people cleaning rooms were all very polite and professional.
Disliked: Had both elevators working. It was awful getting in and out of your room. I was there with a daughter that uses oxygen to breath so stairs weren’t an option and we waited so long for a free elevator. Once I did stairs by myself to and I have asthma so I had to stop several times but got there faster than waiting for elevator and then all the cleaning staff and their equipment had to go on the same elevator. Breakfast area was extremely dirty. No clean table no staff food on table, chairs floor. Wouldn’t eat there. If that is how clean the area you are supposed to eat in how clean is the area were food is being prepared???

Clean and comfy room. Okay...
Liked: The room was bright, a good size and had a large window with a view of downtown manhattan. Nice clean bathroom with a good shower. Plenty of mirrors in the right places. Comfy bed.
Disliked: On arrival the hotel looks very shabby. There was only one of the two lifts working and we were on the top, 20th floor. Took a while to go up and down.We went for breakfast on the first morning an everything needed filling up, so from then on went out for breakfast.
