EXPOSED!! Hyatt's little secret has been revealed! After many visits to the main hotel over the years, we finally asked about the Casitas. These are little "villa" style accommodations and were renovated recently. They are modern, spacious rooms with all the usual amenities. But they are private - tucked away in some of the most lovely landscaping in Tampa. There are nature trails, a boardwalk to a small dock into the bay, and a large koi pond with waterfalls. Although the weather wasn't too nice, we did walk out to the end of the dock, seeing lots of fish and shorebirds. Although this is near the airport and just off the expressway, it wasn't an issue. We'd recommend giving this a try. We found it to be more relaxing than staying in the main hotel, actually.
