Liked: The hotel met our expectations for a decent, affordable place to stay on short notice for a single night as we traveled to Florida. The room was clean and comfortable. Nothing special, but no problems. We loved Beaufort, however, and when we return for a longer stay next year we will look for a place with more character, closer to town and in a less congested location.
Disliked: The hotel is located in a congested part of town but was easy to locate for newcomers to the town who were looking for a place to stop for a night.

Liked: The area is nice and breakfast service was excellent.
Disliked: I booked a handicap accessible room with roll in/bench restroom that wasn't even on the floorplan. Was not given any option to fix the problem nor any compensation. Management and staff were not knowledgeable, if anything they were negligent. Most of the time staff was not available or were outside smoking and talking on phones. It took hours to get clean pool or bathroom towels, the tub backed up with ankle deep water when showering, which didn't make it easy for my disabled mother to shower, bathroom fan cover was disgusting and full of dirt/dust, electrical outlets would fall out of headboard of beds. The air conditioner barely worked, carpets were stained everywhere in room, and bedding was stained as well! It was nowhere big enough for my disabled mother to use her walker while navigating through the room. When trying to extend my stay one more night the night before having to check out, I was told that booking.com would double charge me if i were to extend before my checkout time and to come back in the morning closer to check out time and when a manager was available. I went to front desk and talked to manager and was told that the person at the desk from the night before was wrong for telling me what they had. That all the standard double queen rooms were booked up(along with all the other hotels in the area due to military graduations) and I could book a king suite for the night a a higher price. Also was told that rates went up on Wednesday through weekend (which was not mentioned the night before) so even if I did book the same room it was much more expensive to stay that night. They were no help what so ever! Nothing at all! I did end up booking the same room at the expense of other guests that had already booked the room and now needed to be moved. Why was I not offered any way to remedy the issue other than inconveniencing others and myself. Needless to say, I paid over $700.00 to stay 5 days in a room that was not even available.

Liked: It was clean, great location and affordable! The night manager was awesome! He was friendly and helpful in finding our way to a great restaurant, Dockside.
Disliked: We loved it all!
