Disliked: Getting our bed made and even clean towels were a struggle. Majority of the days it wasn’t made or new towels were given. When called after the second night of it not getting done I asked the guy how often they clean he said should be everyday but he didn’t know for sure and he was going to have to ask tomorrow and get back to us shocker here no one got back to us. Just kinda all over the place…

Liked: Nice imitation fire heater. Beds comfy.
Disliked: No hooks! V annoying. Need them. Like every house in the world has but for some reason hotel rooms don't!

Lovely Spot right next to...

Liked: What a lovely spot. The location is top notch, within walking distance to the Wharf and Cannery Row. The staff was super nice and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean. We found the bed to be just fine (some reviews mentioned how uncomfortable they and the pillows were, not our experience) and the towels, sheets, and overall space was very tidy. The partial ocean view from the patio was awesome! We could hear the sea lions barking at night and in the morning, what a treat to enjoy a cup of coffee in the chilly morning and be able to listen to them AND watch them frolick in the water! The room got pretty chilly in the evening and early morning, BUT the fireplace (electric) really warmed up the room nicely.All in all, would absolutely stay here again. Very reasonable price for a well situated room with an ocean view. (The pic is from the patio! A very nice partial view!)
Disliked: Nitpicky things, by no means bad or deal breakers for staying here again! The channel line up on the TV is pretty small. Not that we spent a lot of time in the room watching TV, but at night, the selections were pretty thin. They do provide coffee beginning at 8am, which is super nice, but it would be spectacular if they did a breakfast option. Having a bagel and some fruit on the patio would be a wonderful way to start your day in Monterey!Some of the furniture was a bit worn, and the desk chair had some odd stains on it, but again, nothing major at all.

Lovely place to stay in...

Liked: Super location. The staff were helpful and kind. Everything we needed was available and the room was comfortable. Great free parking facility at the hotel and easy access with a lift.
Disliked: Walls between rooms were a bit thin so we were kept awake by the folk next door and woken with snoring! The property is a bit untidy but that is part of its charm
